Dan Weiss, MSFP

Senior Financial Planning Analyst
Master of Science in Financial Planning

Financial Planning is in my blood. My dad is a CFP, so, growing-up, on car rides to and from soccer practice, I learned about the differences between a Traditional and a Roth IRA. I became captivated with the profession’s purpose of helping people and making the world a better place.

Dan earned his BA from the University of Michigan double-majoring in International Studies (focus: Political Economy and Development) and Spanish. He graduated Golden Gate University’s Master of Science in Financial Planning program with High Honors earning the Outstanding Student Award. He has passed the CFP examination and is currently studying for the Enrolled Agent (EA) tax designation.

Prior to joining PrairieView, Dan worked for Regent Wealth Management Group, a boutique RIA serving high-net-worth individuals and Chen Planning Consultants, Inc., one of the pioneers of holistic financial planning.

With a passion for adventure and continuous learning, he has taught English as a Second Language abroad for 2-years in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam becoming fluent in Mandarin.

During his free time, Dan reads, meditates, does yoga, and volunteers for the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
